Alta Sierra at Shirley Meadows: Located south of Greenhorn Mountain summit, near Lake Isabella on Rancheria Road. Caters to beginning to intermediate skiing. Downhill skiing and snowboarding when there is enough snow on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holiday periods during the winter months. Lifts open at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Ticket and rental office open at 8 a.m. Rental equipment is first-come, first-serve and cannot be reserved. 760-376-4186.

Sierra Summit: Located at the Sierra National Forest at Huntington Lake, about 65 miles northeast of Fresno on Highway 168. Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and opens 8:30 a.m. on select weekends and holidays, weather conditions permitting.
