Skateboarding is always popular in Kern County.  When you have the urge to roll, we can help you locate where to go.

All Kern County skate parks require some form of safety equipment. Check with the specific park for rules and regulations.

The Shindig: 23rd and O streets, Bakersfield, 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays. Free skateboarding for all ages, includes music, food and gym access for basketball. 323-4162 ext. 25.

Ridgecrest Skate Park: Leroy Jackson Park near French Avenue. Open 5 a.m. to midnight. Safety gear is required. Bicycles are not allowed in the skate park. 760-499-5151.
