Situated at the northern end of the Antelope Valley, California City is conveniently close to Edwards Air Force Base, where many of its residents work.
Its high desert climate is another draw, offering low humidity and moderate temperatures for most of the year. California City includes an impressive
204 square miles - most of it undeveloped -making it one of the largest cities in area in California.
As a growing community, California City boasts two public golf courses and a large public park. Central Park offers visitors an 18-acre lake, a public swimming pool and other sports amenities. The newest of the golf courses is Tierra Del Sol Golf Club, an 18-hole championship PGA course. Skydiving is another popular activity that draws tourists to California City.
