It's always a challenging meeting new people when you move to a new city. I've been toying with the idea of starting a NewToBakersfield Networking get-together.

Would any of you be interested in something like this?

What do you think would work well? Meeting at a coffee house? Wine & Drinks? Breakfast? At a park with activities?

Is there anything you would like to come & find out or would you just want to meet new people?

while i am not new to Bakersfield, I'm a lifer, i think you should start off very casual, meet up for breakfast at 24th street cafe or zingo's. then when your done, head downtown to the antique shops, or the new vintage clothing store that also has Andy Noise in it. He is the man for music. when your done there, it'll be time for a late lunch or early Dinner, Linner, and you could go to Lugi's. mmmmmm. But I would make sure you go to woolworths too. I love that place! I hope you guys are able to meet up and have a great time.
