It's that time of year again, the end of July, when the annual Kern Life magazine is printed and distributed around town. This guide to living in Kern County will be inserted in the Sunday, July 27, edition of The Bakersfield Californian. If you miss it, you can also purchase a copy for $1.50 in the lobby of The Californian, 1707 Eye Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We also launched this Web site, KernLife.com, in conjunction with the magazine this year. It has tons more info than could fit in the printed version. If the Web site looks a little familiar, that's because we re-branded the former NewToBakersfield.com. Rather than reach out to just newcomers to the area, we wanted to share all this great info with everyone! It doesn't matter how long you've lived in Kern County, you will learn new things and find great resources. The staff of The Bakersfield Californian hopes you enjoy both the magazine and the Web site. Contact us with suggestions or questions!
