Is It Really a Miraculous Therapy?

There is much talk nowadays about chelation therapy so I thought maybe some of you have had maybe positive/negative experiences as a result from this treatment.

Is it really a miraculous therapy?

For those who do not know much about it, this is what I learned about it:

It uses a man-made amino acid called EDTA and it is added to the blood through a vein to treat lead poisoning and other toxic metals; when used for lead poisoning testing the occurrence of side effects is low, the most common is a burning sensation at the treated site. Some rare side effects include nausea, fever, headache and vomiting, sudden drop in blood pressure, abnormally low levels of calcium in the blood, depression of the bone marrow (blood cell counts fall) and permanent kidney damage. Infrequently a reversible injury to the kidneys has been reported. If EDTA chelation therapy is not performed by a trained  and fully qualified health professional other serious side effects can occur.

On the positive side some people experience a decrease in LDL cholesterol levels, a reduction in triglycerides, improvement in bowel problems, reduced blood pressure and more energy, better circulation and less aches, reduction in lead, improved mental attitude and depression, no more headaches and sinuses problems after 6 months of using combinations of oral chelation therapy.
